A&O working in Sim but not with XTouch hardware

Featured Replies

HI. As per the title I've got everything working in the Sim. Using the Desktop FIP the X-Touch mini appears on screen and the buttons / rotaries etc work as advertised.

The problem I've got is that my X-Touch Mini hardware is completely unresponsive. Appreciate any help or advice ....thanks

- MIDI Devices Enabled in the Hardware menu?
- Reset the device to factory default? (there is a button combo for that on the XTouch)
- Did you import and apply the template that as far as I know comes with that gauge?

in any case, you should contact the author of that gauge, and/or check the installation instructions what the requirements are for it to work. In general the gauge and the hardware are two completely separate things. They are not related nor is one necessary for the other to work.

To do a factory reset follow the following steps:

Unplug the device.

Press and hold both LAYER buttons, A and B, on the right side of the device.

Plug-in the device while still keeping down the two layer buttons.

Keep holding down the buttons for a few seconds, the buttons will flash a few times.

When only the layer A button is illuminated, the reset is complete. Release the buttons.

Many thanks for the quick reply.   I've been using the X-Touch Mini for a long time with X-Plane on various aircraft so I'm reluctant to hard reset the device for use with MSFS 2020. I'll have to do some more investigation as to what software I originally downloaded as it was a long time ago. Thanks again for the advice.
