AAO windows unresponsive

Featured Replies

Hello,

Yesterday after installing Streamdeck plugin I have trying to set up SD controls but I have noticed that the AAO windows such as script import or template editing do not respond to mouse inputs. I cannot click on the checkboxes, I can't expand or collapse scripts nor can I use mouse wheel to scroll through. I have made a short video: https://streamable.com/uy8opr

I have only noticed it yesterday after installing SD but I have not changed anything in AAO in a couple of months so this bug could have been there earlier. Any clues?

Sorry, but no

  • StreamDeck overloading the app with a massive amount of incorrect scripts or variables? Not that I have seen this before, but it is theoretically possible.

  • Incompatible USB hardware? (go to Hardware->Device Blacklist and "Ignore" everything that isn't a proper USB Gamecontroller. That includes all mice and keyboards, everything that isn't a joystick, yoke, tq or pedaly should go in the blacklist)

Edit: is it possible that you just can't see the checkmarks? I have seen some Desktop themes where the marker in a checkbox or radio button is printed in a very light and weak font, extremely hard to see.

This happens also with the StreamDeck app turned off.

I moved X-Touch Mini to the right column but it had no effect. In the left one there are only Honeycomb Alpha, Bravo and Saitek Rudder Pedals.

Indeed that is the case, I managed to delete all the script groups I imported yesterday by clicking on the checkboxes (no marks appeared) and then clicking delete. However I am still not able to scroll inside the windows so making or modifying templates is not possible...

I'm pretty sure that they are there. In the two occasions where I saw this befaore, the checkmarks were a very pale yellowish color, almost indistinguishable from the background. One had to look very closely to see them.

Sorry, no idea whatsoever. Isn't there a scroll bar that you can drag?

In any case, AAO is a bog standard default .Net WPF application. It doesn't have any GUI logic of its own, this is all Microsoft. AAO will be subject to all the general Windows graphics and app settings. Can't you change to a different Desktop Theme in Windows to see if that makes a difference?

I found the issue! Apparently ASUS GPU Tweak III app is messing AAO up, closing it makes AAO work like it did before. Mind-boggling…
