Kodiak Island north amphibian tour.

Wednesday 11th October.

Wednesdays flight takes us to some remote corners of the northern part of Kodiak Island, Alaska.   Kodiak Island (Alutiiq: Qikertaq, Russian: Кадьяк), is a large island on the south coast of the U.S. state of Alaska, separated from the Alaska mainland by the Shelikof Strait. The largest island in the Kodiak Archipelago, Kodiak Island is the second largest island in the United States and the 80th largest island in the world.

Route:  (PADQ) Kodiak     (4KS) Ouzinkie    (PZ02) Afognak Island  (SYB)Seal Bay    (PZ05) Waterfall Lake   (BFB) Blue Fox Bay    (DGB) Danger Bay    (AED) Aleneva    (ORI) Port Lions    (9Z3) Lilly Lake.

If there is time we will head inland through the valleys and try to find (ESK) Eastern Kodiak Island Hideaway.

There are both water and hard surface landings.

Any amphibian that cruises at around 100kts will do fine.
