FacetrackNOIR and Joystick Shortcuts don't work

Featured Replies

I use Facetracknoir in combination with my Tobii. And i would like to map Start stop on my alpha. But if i try it, it does not work. If i bind it onto my mouse it works.
Anyone have a clue what could be the Problem?

With alpha you mean the Honeycomb Alpha yoke?
Which button are you trying to use? The switches are mostly useless for this kind of thing IMHO since they are continiously on or off.
The buttons on the yoke handle themselves should be possible. Make sure sure you have selected the Honeycomb in FaceTrackNoIR, and assigned the correct button number.

I tried button 1 on the handle of the honeycomb Alpha. Which should be the small one on the left side of the handle but it did not work.

Did you also select the alpha yoke as joystick in Facetracknoir:

If you have, than I am out of ideas.

I guess it is set up right

That should do it. Unless button 1 on the Alpha is broken (unlikely) it should work.
In the known issues (https://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/manual/knownissues.htm) there is mentioned that running FaceTrackNoIR as administrator might solve the issue of shortcut keys not working, but I am not sure it includes joystick buttons.

You could try and contact the developer (see https://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/contact/contact.htm) for help.

I found my mistake. The button was still assigned in MSFS.

Deleted the binding and now it works
