October 27, 20232 yr hey there, I'm loving MCE although I do find that SAPI 5 TTS is getting on a bit in age and it's quite hard to get alternative voices for it. I was wondering if there was any chance in the future MCE my be able to leverage other speech platforms, so that we can use MCE for the Flight Sim integration, and choose our own speech engine to translate the text into MCE. e.g. Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Polly Speech engines. So we just enter in our key for whichever we choose and then can select from 100s of fantastic natural sounding voices, with almost zero training required.
October 27, 20232 yr Author Example of what i mean from another app i use for something completely related. I just enter my own credentials for whatever 3rd party TTS engine, but still use their app for everything it does. 1st image - choice of engine. 2nd image - list of voices I can then select to use. https://imgur.com/a/6py48ES Edited October 27, 20232 yr by MagicTurtleAU

Acapela, Ivona, AT&T and Cereproc, as well as any SAPI 5 compatible voices already supported, provided you install their 32 bit variants. Amazon Polly could eventually be supported in the future when we decide to make MCE 64 Bit (it doesn't need to be right now as we support Win7 to Windows 11 and there could be users on Win 7 32 bit Edited October 30, 20232 yr by FS++ Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
