Pristen RTM would mean the Original FSX Release To Manufacture nothing else applied (No SP1 and No Sp2).Don't know how else to explain it.

Yep, that's pretty much it. RTM = Release to Manufacturing.I would only add that a "pristine install" would normally include application of all service packs, but no third-party extensions or "tweaks."Third-party apps, tweaks, moving things from FS9, etc. All can introduce performance issues. So, if you're having issues, and someone says: "Are you running a pristine install?" what they're driving at is: "Have you changed things?"Going back to your pristine install usually will clear things up. Then, you can add back in your third-party apps one at a time to see which one may have screwed your pooch.
