November 1, 20232 yr Hi all Any ideas how to disable the heat blur on the TBM? That weird shimmering that comes out of the left hand side of the engine is just off putting and not realistic. I've managed to do it on the PMDG by renaming the heat blur effect file, but it does nothing on the TBM. Any ideas?
June 30, 20241 yr I really have to bump this older post! I have all the airliner heatblur off since years ago but am now flying the TBM930 and it's really terrible ugly looking heatblur is damping the fun of this otherwise very enjoyable aircraft! I've searched far and wide with no luck, perhaps one of the fine folk here knows a workaround?
July 2, 20241 yr Search your Packages folder for "FX_ASOBO_HEAT_SMALL.fx" and change the file name to FX_ASOBO_HEAT_SMALL.off I always turn off the over done heat blur effects. The big jets heat blur is called FX_ASOBO_HEAT_BIG.fx Edited July 2, 20241 yr by aniiran
