November 16, 20232 yr Author Just a follow up regarding the use of the "Configuration Utility" with the simulator running and the aircraft loaded - it doesn't work correctly, at least in my setup. Could be something related to the Conf Utility not set to run with Admin privileges but I will try again with those set in both P3D v5.4 and the iFly 737 MAX 8 Conf utility... At least in this video the author appears to be able to use it "on-the-fly"... https://youtu.be/UhDgwOPip3g?t=1283 Ah! And from the Support Forum, in which only owners can register, I just got, from where I also learned that FSUIPC (actually the registered version) is required for the full functionality! With the non-registered version users will not have access to the customized "Elevator Trim Logic"... "Next; If P3D is running with the MAX loaded (any phase of flight) and you then run the configuration tool, making PAX,CARGO,FUEL changes will be updated instantly (provided you have FSUIPC installed - mandatory) when you press the Update and Done buttons. If FSUIPC is not installed, then nothing will happen. FSUIPC is mandatory, required for Auto Brakes, TCAS, Configtool realtime/active loading........to function. If you run the configuration tool WITH the option "Run as Administrator", This will then SET the FUEL PUMP switches according to the Fuel loadout. If you run the configuration tool WITHOUT the option "Run as Administrator", Then only the Fuel Loadout will be done, and the Fuel Pump Switches will have to be manually set. I hope this gives some clarity. Oh and just for reference, P3D should always be run WITH the option "Run as Administrator."
