PMDG EFB Performance Question

Featured Replies

Can someone solve this mystery for me?

I'm about to fly the 738 out of KSNA using the normal PMDG profile from Simbrief which gives a Max TOW of 79333kg.

When I input all the figures into the EFB performance app and hit calculate - I get an error stating "Takeoff not allowed- Max weight of 65259kg is exceeded."

I should be 10 tonnes under the limit as I'm at 69050kg.

What gives?

Just guessing here, but KSNA's longest runway is around 5,700 ft. The EFB takes this into account, along with the weather, weight, etc. It doesn't say it explicitly, but in this case, you're probably runway length limited. Simbrief's MTOW represents the structural limit of the aircraft itself.

Have a look at a detailed description at

Yeah rookie mistake here. Reduced PAX load for takeoff. Thx for the headsup!
