Need help with the F1 ATR-500. - No VC lights at night

I can't get any lights in the VC for the Flight 1 ATR-500 at night time. Even the 2D View, some of the primary gauges are not backlit even the though the dome lights work.The VC is completely dark. When I press "L", there is no lighting.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling so many times. I tried turning on the dome lights and it stilkl does not help.And yes, I have posted this at the ATR forum and there is no help from there either. this problem has been languishing there for the last 1 month.Any ideas?Manny
