November 8, 200718 yr I felt the urge to up my resolution just for FSX from 1024x768 to 1280x1024 my specs are: AMD 3000+ S754 2.49GHZ NVIDIA 7800GS 2GB G. SKILL DDR400and then i noticed things looked crisp and textures were updating quickly like in FS2004..but had quite a bit of jerkiness when panning so I locked my FPS to 26 and things are smooth as glass and no blurries. I have no clue why this would work but does anyone have any insight on if this is just one of things that is system specific or could we be on to something? Does this game require high resolutions for it to really shine? I have SP1 installed and nothing modified on my FSX.CFG file..i'm quite happy with FSX now..anyone else tried this?thanks
November 8, 200718 yr Author The only thing I can imagine is that FSX seems to like to have the same resolution as your desktop.Another thing, if you are using a flat screen, it is best to have the resolution set to the native resolution of your screen, otherwise you will have ugly pixels.Locking your FPS helps freeing resources for other things than rendering the terrain.Jan
