Radeon 9800, FS X, Best drivers

Featured Replies

Anyone using a radeon 9800 128MB card with FS X? I am getting complete distortion in the graphics in all situations and all aircraft. Acceleration pack installed. DX10 disabled.most noticeable in outside rendering and not in the cockpit.P4 3.0 ghz1G RAMRadeon 9800 128MB card

If you want to use a rather old videocard, OKBut you cannot expect much from this years games playing on them. And one Gig of RAM is not sufficient to make for anything neering smoothnessYour best bet is to tweak FS9 to perform like a charm, for both pleasure and fun. FSX, with your system, promises only frustrations and blurries. There is no miracle driver.allen

Hi,I'm afraid the 9800Pro just can't hack FSX. You have the same processor as me so if you intend keeping your system for a while consider the X1950Pro 512Mb. Whilst it won't give you any more frame rates it will display the scenery far more satisfactorily.FSX will also beenfit from more than 1Gb of RAM. If your system uses matched pairs of RAM stick in another 2@1Gb sticks for extra fluidity.Cheers,
