December 24, 20232 yr One of my favourite stretches of scenery since the P3D days has been the run up from Palm Springs towards LA. I was doing this again recently in MSFS, and remembered the dinosaur feature (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabazon_Dinosaurs) from the P3D days (I think it was part of one of the Orbx packages, KPSP or maybe SoCal), so went to take a closer look. Very disappointing in MSFS, basically just bad AI rendering. So I went back and dug out the screenshots I'd taken back in 3d, and thought I'd post a few comparison pics here. I would so love to see these re-done for MSFS. So out from KPSP, then turn round to head up the valley pretty much overhead now. but you don't want to get too close! So here are some pix from nearly seven years ago now, I guess it would have been P3D v4 or maybe even v3. Approaching from the other end And as you can see, a fine piece of modelling down there. You don't want to get to close again, but for a different reason this time! But hey, it's only pixels so here goes "you get out and take a look" "no way, you get out and take a look" "no, you get out . . ." etc OK, we'll both go I miss this guy! Shame you can't just run some kind of one-click utility to convert all your old scenery and aircraft packages to fully functional MSFS packages. There's a ton of money waiting for anyone who comes up with a way to do that!
