For some reason the water around Manhattan in my FS2004 disappeared. The Hudson River and the East river are missing.  Where the rivers should be, is now ground with trees and buildings. The rivers are also not visible on the Map or in the GPS. I disabled all the add-ons but that didn't help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. 

Sounds like one or more of your default scenery bgl's may have become corrupt or has been disabled by an add-on ... unfortunately simply disabling add-ons won't usually rectify the situation, any suspect add-on would often need to be "de-installed" so the default scenery can be re-enabled.

You might want to peruse your ...\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\Name\Scenery folder for any files with obviously renamed suffixes.

I played with the "Name" folder and also with the "Namc" and "Namw" folders and no luck. 

What would be the best way to deal with the corrupt terrain.cfg file?
