Very Interesting Upcoming Projects by Rara-Avis

Featured Replies

I know that Avsim is more favorable to jet airliners and generally modern aircraft, but I want to highlight one upcoming release and two more in very early development for those looking for something a little different, and for those who don't browse the Official Forums.

Rara-Avis, creators for the following already for MSFS: Bulldog Autogyro, Flying Fea, Zippy Sport, and English Electric Wren, and with a long pedigree during the FSX/P3D days have the following coming in 2024:

1. Horten Ho229 / Horten IX "Flying Wing". Preview pics: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/announcement-rara-avis-sims-horten-ix-ho229/625024

2. [In extremely early / initial development:] Sopwith Camel and Sopwith Pup (both previously seen as freeware and payware respectively for FSX/P3D).

So....we'll get a unique experimental WW2 jet, as well as two WW1 aircraft. I know most here have zero interest in WW1 for a variety of reasons, but I think these two biplanes will really fill a gap in the sim.

I am guessing the Horten is no more than a couple months away, and sincerely hoping for the Sopwiths by the end of 2024 at the latest.

Note: I am not a member of the dev team or speak for Rara-Avis in any way - just as a fan.
