January 26, 20242 yr Hello, Lorby: Very like this is a simple question. I am using AAO on two computers, one to code on and one to run with the sim. The question is: If I complete the code for an aircraft on one computer (networked to the sim), will the AAO on the other computer know about the code from the other computer. If not, is there any way to transfer the information between computers. After reading the docs about the Database, it seems to only save joystick information or is that understanding incorrect. Thanks in advance.

Axis and Button assignments? 1 hour ago, The Artful Dodger said: will the AAO on the other computer know about the code from the other computer No the two AAOs don't know of each other and they don't share a connection of any kind. All assets in AAO have an import and export facility, so you can transport each item separately if you want (Scripts, Templates etc.). Make sure to read the AAO manual what data items there are and how they are handled, especially what the difference is between a configuration and a template. If you want to keep both installs in sync, you can create a backup on one computer, move it to the other and restore it there (Menu "Tools") But. AAO identifies your game controllers (joysticks, throttles, rudders in particular) by the GUID that is assigned to them by Windows. This GUID will be different on your second computer, so you will have to reassign all Axis and Buttons when you import stuff there. This IMO kind of invalidates the idea of "developing" on another computer, if you mean axis and buttons. If you are writing scripts, that's fine, they are the same everywhere.
