Just a tutorial-like curiosity (not a feature request). Is there a way insert in a plan an arc-dme? Cannot find any better way than putting a circle on the vor manually and then dragging the route on multiple points manually on this visual guide.....

 

I'm afraid there is no special tool to draw ARINC procedures. I use circle and  measure tool to find circle arc and angles, then manually make route points. It's only an approximation but similar like IRL, when ARC-DME is performed manually with no FMC guidance (GA flight, or old school vintage airliner for example) it's very hard to fly an ideal circle arc :)

Well.... very difficult not.... it's more difficult than a straight line, but you can easily achieve decent approximations... you just need to know the technique to do it 🙂

 

Sorry, there is no special feature for this except range rings and the measurement lines.

I'd rather not allow custom procedures.
Drawing procedures is already a huge effort. This is one of the most complicated parts in the program besides the elevation profile.

So, it's not necessary to draw the whole ARC on LNM's map.
If you know this technique, you can only choose the entry and exit points in the flight plan and then manually perform whole ARC-DME in simulator 🙂

yes, no problem with it. I just wondered if i was missing some existing functions. I repeat: my message was not a feature request.
