There is no current AxisAndOhs freeware. You mean the DEMO? Did you install the correct version of the DEMO = the one for P3D V5? And what version of P3D V5 are you using exactly?

What "client"?

Yes, I mean the DEMO for p3d5 and it is the latest p3d5 = 5.4.9. I d like to check that it works before purchasing and moving into lorby

so the MCP displayed "powered by lorby", the gate software works, but the main one is waiting for simconnect

thks for your help

So you are sitting in the cockpit and the app cannot connect to the simulator? "Pause on task switch" has been turned off in the sim? Are you really certain that you've installed the correct variant? It says the simulator type that it was made for in the title bar of the app window.

If AAO cannot connect to the sim like that, I would suggest that you stay away from it. The SimConnect connection is the most basic and simple thing. There are no known problems or issues as long as you use the correct AAO variant (=if there were, a ton of other apps wouldn't work for you either).
And if this doesn't work right out of the box, I have a bad feeling about it, I think that you won't be happy with it, ever.
That is exactly what the DEMO is for, to prevent you from buying something that doesn't want to work for you.

thats exactly what happens

yes, it is the good version

i also tried in my p3d4 with the correct aao variant, and it doesnt find simconnect. on this sim i have fsuipc running with linda and many addons etc, and never has issues with simconnect

my sims are both installed on a different part of C, not sure about the wording in english "partition" , may it be the reason as aao install itself in C ?

Then I would say "don't bother".

I'm sorry that it doesn't work for you, but I am as confused by that fact as you are - I unfortunately don't have any advice to offer. SimConnect is the most basic thing, if that doesn't want to work, then I'm at a loss. I have been making SimConnect addons for 10 years now, used by literally thousands of people - but I don't have any point of reference to draw on that would help you.

SimConnect is based on Pipes or the IP stack (depending on how you set it up on your computer in the SimConnect.XML). This has nothing whatsoever to do with where or how something is installed.

If you want to check the logfiles, those are here:

C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\LORBY_SI\LorbyAxisAndOhs

The most interesting one is probably the StartupLog. And I would try AAO without the VRI Bridge first.
