P3D V5.4 CTD Just a few seconds after loading up

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've been having CTDs without any error messages for a few days now and for some unknown reason. First of all when I took off from the T2G LFPG in the FSLabs just a few seconds after being airborn the sim just crashed so I figured I should just step off and not care about the T2G LFPG. But now I'm getting some CTDs out of nowhere about 20-30 seconds into the flight. I've tried a few fixes such as the corrupted weather files which didn't work. The plane used is the PMDG 737 NGXu, the location is the JetStream Designs LFPO and the weather engine is HiFi Technologies Active Sky. Please note that this scenario worked just fine yesterday but now it's just not working anymore. I am installing quite alot of sceneries right now so could it be related to this?

Kind regards,

Axel.

Are you using AIG Ai by any chance? I was having freezes with 5.4. Reverting to 5.3HF2 fixed the problem.

The freezes occurred at many locations around the world. If you have a crash can you post the details from Event Viewer?

Axel,

That's a common error. Try the fix recommended in this post.

Thanks!

It seems like it solved quite a bit, however somethings seems to still be off since I still get CTD without any errors.

Here's another message from the event viewer:

Does this ring a bell?

Another error widely reported. You don't say when the error occurs.

For now try and default aircraft at a default airport. If that's stable then the answer may lie with your addon scenery.

Try disabling those giving you problems. Also, clear your shaders folder.

I've cleared my shaders 3 times already and still no change. Do you recommend disabling all sceneries and adding them again one by one to see which one causes the CTDs?

You said you had no problems until the last few days. So it’s possibly a scenery package you’ve installed that might be the cause.

I suggest you disable all those you’ve installed in the last few days and see if stability returns. If it does then add them back one at a time until the problem returns. The last one is probably the cause.
