No Electronics PMDG B772

Recommended Posts

Hello Simmers,

I am flying the PMDG B772 and while in the air I notice a remark that there is no Electronics.

Can anyone please comment on this as to why and how to resolve?

Thanks in advance and kind regards

There is a switch in the overhead panel (probably near the seatbelt sign switch) that will illuminate a “no electronics” light at each passenger overhead PSU unit. This is to inform passengers not to use cell phones or laptops in WiFi mode. It is usually turned on before pushback and turned off once the aircraft has climbed above 10,000 feet. It is turned on again descending below 10,000 feet during approach.

On later model 777s this switch and cabin annunciation replaces the former “no smoking” light.

The message on the ECAM is just to indicate to the crew that this switch is “on”.
