Have to load scenery every time

Featured Replies

Hi all-

I'm new to LNM and have a question. I'm running P3D 5.4 btw. I notice that when I load an airport, KELP in this case, the parking spot I select in P3D seems to be off kilter in relation to the aircraft on the LNM screen. After reloading the scenery in LNV, it appears to refresh all the parking spots and my aircraft is exactly where it should be. Anyone give a hint as to what the deal is here?

Thanks,

Mark

You should reload the scenery database library only after changing airports or navaids in the simulator. You certainly do not have to reload it before each flight.

Parking spots should match in LNM and P3D after loading.
Check if you have the right simulator selected in the scenery library menu.

Thanks Alex. Database is correct for V5.

Regarding your changing airports..do you mean adding brand new airports or activating/deactivatiing airports (as with SimStarter)? I'll keep looking at this to see if I can be more specific about this problem.

You might want to reload in LNM after adding an airport. You will otherwise see the layout (aprons and taxiways) of the stock airport but you can still use it for planning.

If you use a scenery management tool: You can reload after each change in the MSFS scenery library but this is not practical. Most people create a configuration containing/covering all their add-on airports just for LNM, load this into LNM and then use the tool to disable unneeded airports again. LNM still keeps showing all add-on airports since it has a copy of all in its own database.
