assign a button to a Fenix A320 LVAR

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I would like to assign a specific LVAR to a button on my Thrustmaster T16000m stick.

Is my screenshot the correct way to do it ? In the device list I can't find my joystick nor any of my hardware equipement (except mouse, keyboard and voice)

Thank in advance for your help.

Don't try to select anything regading the input device, that is not how this app works. Just press the button on the joystick.

Be mindful that LVars aren't "events" or "triggers" and that they are an individual asset for every aircraft (=AAO doesn't have them in the lists).

LVars require specific values and may also require certain processing logic. Normally you will have to write an RPN script to handle the LVar correctly. If you are lucky, it can be used directly - you can make AAO search for all currently active LVars using "Scripting->Read LVars from sim". After you can select it on the key down list on the button assignment. Just make sure that you set it to the correct value (the little box to the right)

When you are just starting out, the best approach is to look on flightsim.to for a script package and import that. For example, search for a StreamDeck profile for the Fenix that way made for AAO - those usually contain script XML files that you can import into AAO. The scripts will then be available in the key down/up selections as well.
