Are ya correctly handling your Buses, FD-wise ?

PPrune is a refernce since years for me. More often in the past I would go there and go through some of the forums, and learned a lot from there!

Tahnks to João Galaio for ths link, and the interesting information in it about the correct handling of the modern buses when it comes to following, or not, the Flight Directors, and swiching OFF or not the A/T....

In at least two of my jumpseat flights in A320 I did observe the PF switching OFF both FDs and also the AT, and manually flying the approach after the FAF in one instance and the IAF in the other ( still more than 20 NM from the airfield )....
