Frame Generation without MSFS having focus

Featured Replies

Hi all,

During the development of Reset XPDR’s excellent Auto FPS app, it was revealed that frame generation in MSFS stops when MSFS loses focus (like when you click on another app for some reason). Frame generation resumes when MSFS regains the focus.

Does anyone know more about this? I’m frequently using other apps, and I’d love a situation where MSFS continues with frame generation, no matter where the focus is within windows. Is this possible?

Don’t think so, it seems to go inactive with all apps. Same with G-Sync. Tick the “on top” option in AutoFPS and click on MSFS to bring it into focus.

Thanks. I only mentioned Auto FPS for context, I actually use MSFS to provide “world” visuals for PSX, which has the focus most of the time. So I’m hoping someday to find a way to still have Frame Generation active while doing that. Doesn’t seem like it’s possible now.
