Trijets

Featured Replies

I am looking for a freeware DC-10/MD-11, 727, or Lockheed TriStar. I would prefer to have the 1011 out of any of them with the McDonnell Douglas in 2nd and the Boeing if I can't find the other two. I'd like to have a model with working animations for ailerons, flaps, spoilers and rudder if possible. Don't really care about a VC. I found one at: http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2.cgi...l1011airind.zip and installed the update from: http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2.cgi...le=l1011upX.zip and the aircraft doesn't show up with the others. I also found a 727 package with model (don't remember the link) and it doesn't show up either. I've added a zillion other aircraft and it's always the trijets that don't show up in my aircraft list in game. Anybody know the solution for this?

You need the SGA DC-10.It is the best freeware DC-10. I have the DC-10-30 variant and it's great, with animated spoilers, flaps, etc.It does not have a VC.It is available here at AVSIM I think. There are also lots of repaints for it.It flies pretty well, althought I don't know if it flies "by the numbers". It burns 20,000 lbs fuel per hour at mach 0.82 at FL32.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

You copied your trijets in the "simobjectsairplanes" folder and they have a texture, a sound, a panel and a model folder? Check also if the panel.cfg refers to an existing panel and check the "sim" entries in the aircraft.cfg (they have to point to your *.air file). And have a look here: http://www.eastern-va.com/vistaliners/downloads2.htm
