May 26, 20242 yr Is anyone experiencing significant pitch oscillations with the BS Grand Duke? I loaded it up to almost max takeoff weight and worked my way up to 17,000 feet but once the ALT mode took over and captured the altitude, I'm getting fairly significant rapid pitch deviations plus/minus 200 FPM. It is holding the altitude well but the pitch is all over the place. If I switch to ATT mode the oscillations go away. I'm using ASFS if that makes a difference, I also close ASFS and it made no difference. Edited May 26, 20242 yr by KevinS137
May 26, 20242 yr I've only flown a couple times in SU15 with the Duke, but the AP has performed just fine. What GPS are you using? I'm using the TDS GTNxi. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
May 26, 20242 yr Author I'm using TDS as well. I think it had something to do with the CG getting out of whack somehow. I checked the CG limits prior to flight on the tablet and it showed it was within limits but when i landed and braked a little to hard the plane tipped back onto its tail after coming to a stop. Not sure what happened but I think this had to be it. Going up now to test another flight at lower weight to see how it goes. I've also had zero issues up to now with the autopilot.
