VR mouse cursor headaches

Featured Replies

Here is the problem. The monitor has to be online when operating MSFS2020 in VR mode. Thus, when moving the mouse in VR, it also moves the cursor on the monitor. Therefore, when one is under the hood, they cannot to see the undesired mouse actions that occur. For example, if the cursor is moved to the top of the monitor screen, it activates a drop down men that locks the VR screen. This is maddening as I must constantly look out from under the HMD set to see what has been inadvertently activated.

Worse is the accidental closing of the program by hitting the close screen, X-out button at the top right corner of the screen. More than once I have set everything up in VR only to accidentally click the close screen/program button. Having this happen as resulted in my shutting down the computer and walking away, as it takes considerable time to reload everything.

Shutting down the monitor also shuts down the mouse cursor in the sim. So my question is, is there any way to rectify this royal PITA? Can the mouse cursor be deactivated on the monitor screen while leaving the mouse cursor active in VR? A keystroke for this would be nice to have.

Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! Precisely the elegant, key-stroke solution I was looking for. No more mouse cursor issues and better yet I can shut down the monitor and still have the mouse available in VR. Flying is much more immersive and pleasurable now that I have applied this simple keystroke combo. Thank you very much for taking time to point this out. It is not often one finds such simple solutions to sim problems.
