June 25, 20241 yr Author checked the AAO logs from a crash ...this is what they say 25/06/2024 17:23:44.535 : Exception received: 32 from send id 48 errloc 48 25/06/2024 17:23:44.621 : Exception received: 7 from send id 71 errloc 71 25/06/2024 17:23:44.622 : Exception received: 3 from send id 72 errloc 72 25/06/2024 17:23:44.622 : Exception received: 3 from send id 80 errloc 80 25/06/2024 17:23:44.622 : Exception received: 3 from send id 81 errloc 81 25/06/2024 17:23:44.622 : Exception received: 3 from send id 82 errloc 82 25/06/2024 17:23:44.880 : SH: unrecognized SimConnect ID - invalid event or setter variable? From send id 151 errloc 2 Looks like I may have fixed it...I replaced ConfigDatabase_MSFS.xml with one from 2 days ago (named it the same) and no more crash...so I guess something had gone wrong in the fenix section ... would it be helpful to post the crashing ConfigDatabase_MSFS.xml here for reference?
June 25, 20241 yr Author Looks like its breaking it when I try to add a button to swap com radios.... I did add that recently to the fenix and PMDG 737 ... Its in a section called COM and says COM_1_RADIO_SWAP - thats whats breaking it ...that works in the PMDG 737 , I guess the fenix doesnt like it ! cant seem to see anything alternative in the fenix scripts I have from flightsim.to Edited June 25, 20241 yr by vsukpadman

Something else must be in play. What exactly are you adding how? What does that look like? I suggest that you send a support request with your proof of purchase to the support address (last page of the AAO manual). Include your config file too, with a description of what I should look at exactly. Also, there should be more than one error message in the Windows Event logs. The one above doesn't tell me anything, I would need the one with a stack trace. Edited June 25, 20241 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

June 25, 20241 yr Commercial Member Assigned the event "COM_1_RADIO_SWAP" to a button on my joystick - working fine here. No crash, and it is swapping the COM1 radio frequencies as intended. Using the latest Fenix, installed the latest update right now. Edited June 25, 20241 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

June 26, 20241 yr Author Of course when setting it all up again to send you the logs, its now stopped happening !!! ... so clearly as you say , something else is at play... very odd it exhibited that error though and consistently crashed AAO will keep an eye on it, and if it happens again, grab all the info then... appreciate your help as always - will report back
June 26, 20241 yr Commercial Member To make sure that nothing interferes, go to "Hardware->Device Blacklist" and move everything into the list on the right with the "Ignore" button that isn't a game controller that you are using in AAO. That includes all keyboards and mice, HID devices and whatever else is in the list on the left. Only leave your actual controllers in there. LORBY-SI
June 26, 20241 yr Author Ok done that ..I had a few that are in use in FS2020 but NOT by AAO when in FS2020 ... lets see what happens.. VERY odd that it seemed to pick only on the Fenix for me... I could literally change aircraft to PMDG and the problem went away Thanks again..will let you know if it re occurs !
