June 27, 20241 yr Hey there! My VRInsight MCP Combo II Boeing Type is driving me mad. Or is it AAO... in any case, I can't manage to establish the connection between the two. On the AAO side of things, all seems to be the way it should be. I even load an aircraft and when I change the radio frequency I see it changing on the Bridge program, but for some devilish reason there is no connection to and from my MCP which still only displays 'MPC-II/Boeing Type v1.100 VR insight, Flight Dream Supplier!' As a matter of fact, I did manage to get it to display what is the default display on the Bridge... but ONCE... not after... So that most probably tells me that in any case my Port Com is right... I changed the WebAPI in case it was conflicting with something else I didn't know of. FSUIPC isn't open. No LINDA open either. I have installed and uninstalled the SerialFP2 and VRiSim just in case I would have needed it or not. And yes, when I turn on the MCP there's the Windows Ping sound BUT I can't find it anywhere in my peripherals listing other than in the Device Manager to check on the Port Com. That being said, in AAO when I go to check the peripherals in Hardware change for instance, the MCP doesn't appear either (that I don't know if this is normal or not). Bottomline is, I have tried everything I could think of... Help please? Thanks a lot! NOTE: I bought AAO today and I confirm that my other devices (TCA Yoke, Sidestick, Quadrant) are detected well.

Yes, that is normal. AAO is not/never connecting to the VRI device, it cannot even see it. The VRI is not an input device at all, that is why you can't see it in Windows either (AFAIK). That is what the Bridge has been made for, that is the only part that communicates to the VRI. But - I cannot assist you, sorry. I don't own any VRI hardware. All these Bridges and AAO addons are hobby projects, more often than not implemented by request from and for other people - as is this one. I'd suggest that you take a look on flightsim.to for an AAO template for the VRI. I imagine that the author will also provide tipps on how to configure the device itself. All I can say is that installing extra drivers and tools is not a good idea. That won't do any good and they usually are very hard to get rid of.
