Hi Folks,

I have come from the XPlane side of simming and am having a few issues using MSFS.

The major problem that is driving me mad is LittleNavMap will not connect to MSFS - I have been trying to solve this for the past 2 YEARS!!!

I am using a pretty new computer ( 1 year old) running Win 11.

In the control panel I find a file name Microsoft Flight Simulator SimConnect Client v10.0.61259.0 - which has obviously been installed with MSFS.

In the directory for LittleNavMap is a folder Little NavConnect which also contains a SimConnect.dll file.

When I use LNVMP tools menu to connect to MSFS the status bar at the bottom of LNMVP says it is connecting to MSFS .....  (BUT IT NEVER DOES).

The yellow icon in LNVMP toolbar that would normally be yellow in colour when the aircraft can connect to LNVMP is greyed out.

I am absolutley stumped. LNVMP works perfectly fine with XPlane 11 & 12.

Can anyone offer some technical help on how to solve this mess?

@GazMan, The MSFS2020 Tips & Tricks forum is not for questions. As your problem relates to LittleNavmap I've moved your post here.

@GazMan  Try to use the latest LNM installer (release candidate) which also takes care of installing the required MS redistributable packages right here: https://github.com/albar965/littlenavmap/releases/download/v3.0.7.rc1/LittleNavmap-win64-3.0.7.rc1-Install.exe

Can you send me an issue report if this does not help?
Start LNM and MSFS, try to connect and then LNM menu "Tools" -> "Create an issue report". Dialog window appearing explains the rest.

Thank you for the log file but I'm afraid I cannot help much with this issue, sorry. LNM finds the MSFS and XP12 installation, loads the right SimConnect library without errors and then tries to connect to the sim. I see no error message about failed connection attempts.
