Api.dll ctd linked to desktop icon me thinks

For such a long time I have being having the api.dll ctd. Usually on the first lauch but not all the time.

For the last couple of weeks I have been launching Fsx via the steam client and I have not had a ctd.

I did a test the other day and launched fsx via the desktop icon and got a api.dll ctd.

So I for me (hoping iI haven't jinxed my self) I think I have sorted my api.dll ctd (crossing my fingers)
