No, Virginia, there will not be a separate MSFS 2024 forum

According to what we've seen from Asobo, there is supposed to be a great deal of commonality between MSFS 2020 and the yet-unreleased MSFS 2024, so we expect that very many MSFS discussion threads, both old and new, would/will apply to both sims.  I am confident that our user base possesses the requisite intelligence to be able to sort thru MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 posts during the brief overlap period where both sims still enjoy widespread interest.

The reason we have historically opted against spawning new and separate forums, for example for P3D versions 3, then 4, then 5, and then 6 also applies here:  we want to avoid the proliferation of forums, unnecessary fragmentation, and compartmentalization of information that quite often applies to multiple platforms.

Consistent with our past policy, the decision has already been made *not* to create a separate forum for MSFS 2024.  Further debate will not alter the outcome, so please find it within yourselves to desist in continued debate of the issue.

We do still permit thread tagging, where threads that apply only to a specific sim can be annotated with a conspicuous platform-specific tag (usually not necessary if the title is appropriately constructed).
