Disappearing scenery

Featured Replies

Hello, I've run into a situation where scenery disappears depending on what angle it is viewed from. These screenshots were taken at KADS (Addison,Texas). This is stock FSX scenery. Notice as the elevation of the shot increases, the hangars in the backround disappear. This same thing will happen in the cockpit view. When I apply the brakes and the nose of the aircraft dips, the airport building disappear and then reappear when the aircraft levels. I have done a complete reinstall of FSX and have the latest drivers for my video card. Any help would be appreciated.http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g298/Cap...7-36-15-250.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g298/Cap...7-38-38-687.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g298/Cap...7-38-46-468.jpgMy specs,ABIT P35-EIntel E6600 o/c @3.2 GHZ2 GB Kingston DDR2 667Sapphire Radeon HD2900 Pro 512MBAntec Truepower Trio 650

Interesting! I tried to duplicate your problem but could not. There appeared to be a small space between the ground and the hangar but other than that, it was all there. My scenery was much clearer than yours too. It sounds like you might be having a rendering problem whereas, when you switch views, objects are not being fully rendered. I have Ultimate Terrain for FSX installed and maybe that somehow made your problem go away for me but I seriously doubt it. You might try lowering some of your FSX config settings and see if that fixes your problem.Best regards,Jim
