windows 11 24H2 how to pin folder to taskbar

The procedure is different in Win 11 version 24H2.

In right side panel of file explorer, right click on the folder icon and choose create shortcut and choose send to desktop.

On the desktop, rightclick the shortcut and choose properties, Target.

Suppose this is in that target box: C:\Users\groov\Documents\Z_Docs_Prelims

change it to this: explorer C:\Users\groov\Documents\Z_Docs_Prelims

(space after explorer)

Now if you right click on the shortcut and magically there will be an option called Pin to the Taskbar.
