ATC stops working after Auto-Response?

V3.0.0.24B, Windows 11, XP12.

I left the aircraft cruising while I done some chores and switched on the auto-response, and auto-tune for about an hour.

When I "took control" again, ATC did not respond to me in anyway, and also gave me instructions without any sound, but I could see the text. the SPEAK option did not work either. Tried turning on the auto-response again, but that stopped working. ATC was giving me instructions, with no sound, all the way to approach...

I get that too if I leave MSFS unattended for any length of time.
