October 30, 20241 yr I think is possible in 2024. Because the split screen option is no longer called "experimental" in the options listing. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. I'm not sure which option are you referring to, but unless I'm completely mistaken, the OP is talking about shared cockpit in split screen, and MSFS2024 doesn't have shared cockpit.
