January 31, 200818 yr Hi GuysI've always used Ultimate Traffic for my AI. I like it, except the visual quality of aircraft. Are any of the other packages any better?Thankshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/184083.jpg Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
January 31, 200818 yr I have been using UT as the base for my traffic. I have replaced just about all of the models/textures with AI Aardvark, Fruit Stand, FS Painter, DJC, EvolveAI, and few others I can't think of off the top of my head. Additionally, I have been adding WOAI to update schedules. Alot of work, but worth it in the end. January 31, 200818 yr Author Wow! It never even crossed my mind that UT could be adapted. Care to share a few pointers? Thanks Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
February 1, 200818 yr Author Thought i'd start downloading some FSPainter models, only to find they don't have a website. Also, here, i haven't been able to find any kind of base package of aircraft - only 'one off' repaints.Have i missed something here guys? Thanks Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
February 1, 200818 yr Probably the easiest to start with are AI Aardvark (AIA) and Fruit Stand. http://www.ai-aardvark.com/http://www.the-fruit-stand.com/They have links on thier sites to the models and most textures. I remember some of the links were no longer valid at AIA, but I was able to find by searching AVSIM library by file name. Most of the FSP models are dated now, and are being superceeded by others. Some of the Fruit Stand Airbus models come to mind for this. You may also want to check out the Ultimate Traffic forums (http://ultimatetraffic.flight1.net/forums/). There are some stickies there for users' preferred models, and help getting the textures loaded.UT dumps a repaint list in CSV format. Sorry I am not at my FS computer now, so can't remember how. I took this CSV and opened in excel, sorted by AC type and added a column with Model Type where I annotated default, AIA, FSP etc to keep track of what I was adding. Also, remember if you install any WOAI packages, you will need to deactivate the airline from UTs interface and recompile.Keep in mind that if you start on this endeavour, you will probably get hooked. I probably spent hundreds of hours updating my AI environment, and it time to replace more FSPs with new Fruitstand that have been released recently.Kylehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg Kyle Main Sim PC: P3D v5.2 & MSFS 2020, i9-10850k @ 5.0 GHz, ASUS Maximus XII Hero, ASUS TUF-RTX3080-12G, Dell U3011 30" IPS monitor, G.Skill 32GB 3200 Trident Z 14-14-14, Samsung 512GB 960 Pro NVMe (OS), Samsung 2TB 970 EVO NVMe (Sim), Win 10 Pro 64, Yoko Yoke, Saitex Combat Rudder Pedals, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant
