FSX Fatal Error

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,After following the directions in this thread: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...34401&mode=fullAnd adding some add-ons (Nick's Sun-Fix, Airport Light Environment, Effects Package 1.2, ERX 2007 (new reflection map), all found in the AVSIM Library), everytime I start up FSX, the Windows Vista dialog pops up saying:A fatal error has occurredChecking for a solution for the problem...Microsoft® Flight Simulator X has stopped workingA problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.Help! I don't want to reinstall FSX after all the missions I've done and all the enhancements I've added on. Does anyone have a solution? I have FSX, SP1, and SP2, no DX10 Preview.

Regards,

BoeingGuy

Remove each addon one by one until the crashes stop. If possible, just disable each one in the Scenery Library and restart. You'll need to find out the offending program before you can find a solution.Best regards,Jim

Thanks, I tried that but it still gives me an error message. I'll just try a reinstall and see if that works. I just hope it'll let me use my product key again :(BoeingGuy

Did you try removing your fsx.cfg file and let FSX rebuild a new one?

>Did you try removing your fsx.cfg file and let FSX rebuild a>new one?>>Um...actually no :-shy, but I'll try that if it happens again, thanks. Also, is there anyone else out there using ERX2007 with FSX/SP1/SP2/Vista that has problems, or is it safe? I've confirmed that the Airport Light Environment, Effects Package, and the new wave effect file along with Sun-fix work fine. Also, Tim, I can't wait till REX comes out!BoeingGuy
