Some FSX Questions

Recommended Posts

I downloaded a terrain.cfg replacement, and noticed it is smaller and older than the default one, but noticed this only after installing SP2. So should I overwrite the SP2 one with the replacement or keep the SP2 one?Ground vehicles: Look at the SimObjects/GroundVehicles folder. There are so many without a specific function! In a European airport, there is no bus, red or yellow, which comes to your plane. I let it snow for hours and saw no snowplows. I also checked out the Effects folder and saw a de-icing effect. Does this mean de-ice stations will de-ice the plane?

Thanks very much for the reply, I couldn't get a bus to come along. Occasionally a van or a pickup truck comes around, then drives off though. This is ridiculous, but could you give me a gate number for Heathrow? I also saw interesting ground vehicles: Air Supply Truck, Sewer Truck, etc...hope to see some of these in the sim! Thanks again for your time,BoeingGuy

Some of the objects that you see there were designed specifically to be included in missions, but that you may not see in Free Flight (I assume).I use a LOT of those vehicles when designing missions, so even though you may not be able to call over the Sewer Truck to clean your tanks, there is still a use for these in the overall sim. I'm glad they are there, and hope vNext has more of every kind of scenery item ... more PPL characters, more vehicles, more buildings, etc., etc.
