FS2024 and camera binding to Honeycomb Alpha yoke

I have been reading everything I can find on binding. I have a simple request. I want to bind button 3 to toggle cockpit/external views for all aircraft. Sometimes it doesn't work at all. Others button 3 will toggle to external view. But will not toggle back to cockpit view. I know that keyboard BACKSPACE will do this with no problem. Please be specific in your response.
