Hi,

Very recently I bought the Pimax Crystal Light.
For my Flight Simulator, I use(d) 2 displays, one for 2D apps and one for rendering Flight Simulator.

Question:

  • When running FS in VR-mode, should I turn-off/disconnect my FS display?
I noticed that my FS-display is displaying the 2 VR renderings. Does this impact performance?

I hope my question make sense.

Hi

And welcome to VR in Flightsim world!

No - the MSFS screen display has no impact on the performance of the headset and yes - it is normal for this headset to display the two views (left eye and right eye) on the display screen when VR is turned on.

You can't turn the display screen off when running MSFS because, for some odd technical reason, the VR mouse will then not show - but you can reduce the MSFS 'window' size on your monitor.  I tend to do that routinely, especially in low or artificial light, because I find that the bright monitor with two large moving images on the screen tends to confuse the headset tracking.
