(Basic) stuff not yet modelled in FS 2024...

Featured Replies

WEATHER:

- Not yet possible to properly set VISIBILITY according to METAR reports;

- Geopotential height variation with T is not modelled / approximated when Manual Weather or Weather Presets are used - apparently only with Real Weather, so if you manually set or take a preset of an approach under cold weather into an airfield where cold weather procedures are published you will not see any effect of the temperature in your barometric altitude (lower than indicated for low T, higher for high T... "from high to low" applying to T just as it applies to Pressure );

- Thermals don't exist - just "waves of lift", which is the best description I can get for it...

AIRCFAFT SYSTEMS / FLIGH AND GROUND PHYSICS:

- There's yet no proper modelling of free castoring wheels, both in conventional or tricycle configurations, the SR22 being a good example - the nose wheel simply doesn't move when differential braking is used, and you can firewall the throttle and don't even bother with directional control on takeoff 😕

I'll keep adding to the list as I find more stuff...
