March 7, 200818 yr I am doing a fresh install of FSX on a new computer...I have downloaded both SP1 and SP2...Is there any specific way I should go about it? Should I first install the program, start it, shut it down and then install SP1 and then repeat the process for SP2? Suggestions welcome and thanks!Steve in Kansas
March 7, 200818 yr Just start the installers in the right order and follow the instructions...AFAIK you don't need to run the application before applying the service packs, but it shouldn't hurt either.
March 7, 200818 yr David Roch posted a tutorial or guide that illustrates the best way to install FSX and subsequent service packs. A search of this forum should turn it up. I would rec following his guide, he's very knowledgable on the subjectThank you,KailFlightSimmer since 1987C2D E6850 3.0GHz 1333FSBXFX Nvidia 680i LT SLI2x XFX 8800GT 512MB SLI'd2GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 800MHzCreative SB Audigy2 ZSUltra Xfinity 600W SLI PSUWindows XP SP2 / FSX SP2 / FS9 SP1 Thanks for listening, Kail
