December 29, 20241 yr Author My RAM continues to test OK but I'll keep that in mind. My Mobo, Proc, RAM and SSDs were all new in January. I was one of those with a new i9 that experienced instability with the default settings of the BIOS eventually frying the chip. Intel replaced the chip under warranty and a substitute BIOS brought the voltages down to safe levels. Now, under the latest BIOS all is supposed to be well - I had excellent performance for the rest of the year up until the week of the release of 2024. I need to mention that I have had two successful startups and flights after the changeover to DX12. I recall that on the day of the 2024 release there was also a small update to 2020 and a few more small updates in the days that followed. I had updated my nVidia driver before the 2024 release to 566.14, as it listed updates for MSFS and optimization for 2024 (which I knew I would be installing eventually). Maybe this driver really prefers DX12? For now, the CTDs have stopped. Randall Rocke
