G1000 Issue

Featured Replies

Hi All. When starting a flight in the Asobo C172 G1000 aircraft, when I come to enter a flightplan it seems hit and miss as too whether it recognises waypoints, VORs and whether it will allow me to enter airways. I always use the same method of flightplan loading but sometimes it takes everything, ie waypoints VORs and allows me to load airways and other occasions it won't accept either, Is anyone else having same issues.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry I am usinf msfs 2024

I’ve been using the EFB (tablet) to create and load flight plans. I can do so either before the flight or in the cockpit. Once flight plan is created I can easily “load to aircraft”. This seems to work reliably and is easier than entering data using panel mounted switch hardware.

Also, when entering a waypoint, you can select / confirm a the specific waypoint from a list. This seems to work OK.

I have run into issues when wanting to load an IFR approach and the approach doesn’t show up in the EFB flight plan build page.  I know the approach is current / valid (present in Foreflight) but it’s not showing in MSFS 2024 data.

Good flying!
