Career mode weather settings.

Thought I would give career mode a go and started light cargo missions but was a bit disappointed that all missions had clear skies (even when selecting the clouds option) with no wind whatsoever. Was getting a bit boring. I saw somewhere that getting your IFR rating will unlock weather options and did that but now I am locked into real world weather with no option to select custom weather in case I want to fly a mission where the airports are IFR. I can not find a option to fly IFR missions and if I do take off I am denied permission to land because the airport is closed = failed mission.

Is there a way to change the the option in career mode to custom weather.
