Have you tried the Flight Plan Forum? You can even request routes, and friendly people with access to real-life flight plans will try to get some for you.Flight Aware is also a good resource, although only for flights in/from/to the US. Wish there were something similar for Europe...

I make a distinction between "realistic" flight plans and "real" ones. A realistic flight plan is one I make myself that seems to be close to what I would experience in the real world. A real plan is, well, a real flight plan.MSFS is entertainments, so the EULA says, so it can't be used for real-world navigation. That, and the data set for FSX is quite out of date, at least 4 years old, if not more. Still, I want realistic flight plans, too. The very tricky parts are the standardized SIDS and STARS (departures and approaches) to major airports. Once you know which SID or STAR (if any) you wish to use, the waypoints in between can follow the most logical and shortest patch between departure and arrival: VORs, NDBs, and junctions. You can figure out SIDS and STARS by looking for approach plates. Most are available for US airports for free online. The rest of the waypoints can be figured out on a sectional map, again, for the States for free on the Internet. The default Map in FSX can also help you find the waypoints you are looking for, and by clicking and dragging your route line, you can assign any custom waypoint you like. What the Map doesn't do very well is generate truly realistic flight plans on its own (but you can edit it to make them better), nor does it do very long distance Great Circle routes consistently. Long ago, I invested in SimPlates and Flight Sim Commander to help me generate routes, and I thought that was money that was reasonably well spent. I can make up my own flight plans that are realistic, but are not real, which is good enough for me. Jeff ShylukAssistant Managing EditorSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM

On my blog site listed below I have routes and pictures of an across the US 6500 nm. trip I took this summer-landing at some very interesting scenic places. I go thru the flight planning process, decisions, and then you can see how it really turned out. I also have one of my first flight across the US many years ago.You will have to click on "view more entries" on the bottom and then work your way up...http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/

I think you're confused. Yes, you can't use data (like airways, frequencies, performance data) from MSFS in real world aviation. But I really doubt it's against the EULA or anything to use data from the real world in the flight sim...

Even cooler when one can look back on their real-world flights.;)http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N5276CI also use http://www.fltplan.com/Here you can specify your airports and it will tell you what routings ATC has planned in the past between them.Here's an example:Recent IFR Routes used by FltPlan.com users between KJFK - KLAX COATE J36 BAE DBQ J144 DSM LNK J146 GLD PUB J64 PGS.RIIVR1 2203NM B752 RBV J230 AIR J80 MCI J24 SLN J102 ALS J44 RSK J64 HEC.CIVET5 2174NM B752 RBV J230 LARRI J230 AIR J80 MCI J24 SLN J102 ALS J44 RSK J64 HEC.RIIVR1 2173NM A320 RBV J230 AIR J80 MCI J24 SLN J102 ALS J44 RSK J64 HEC.CIVET5 2174NM A320 RBV J230 AIR J80 MCI J24 SLN J102 ALS J44 RSK J64 HEC.CIVET5 2174NM B752Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg
