I have just done a complete reinstall of FSX + Acceleration + all my add ons.Was I supposed to have installed service pack 1 before Acceleration or is it included with it as well as service pack 2.I do hope so as I don't relish the thought of having to completely install everything again because I left SP1 off!

Acceleration installs both, you are good to go.
