Hello!

Computer Model: ROG Strix GA35 G35DX   G35DX-NR020T

AMD X570 Chipset

Orginal BIOS: GA35DX.306, 10.11.2020

ASUS: https://rog.asus.com/desktops/full-tower/rog-strix-ga35-series/helpdesk_bios/

There is BIOS Update for Windows Version 322

A question is that can I dowload this new version without problems and is the installation automatic operation?

I'm not very professional man project like this - BIOS is very dangerous to a computer if You don't know that what to do. Thats why I ask. I have been odd problem with my screen that "freezed" almost every day at lest ones. I read from internet that there is some problem with AMD besed computer and they are not updated driver. This is error text:

Hello Rolf,
Yes, it is important to have the latest BIOS.
Fortunately, your ASUS computer can be updated directly from Windows, without having to deal with the BIOS itself.
Here is the method.
If you have any question, drop me a message, I'll try to help you remotely.

  1. Download the Latest BIOS Update:
    • isit the ASUS Support page for the G35DX model. - Locate the latest BIOS version available. As of now, the most recent version is 322, released on April 8, 2024. - click on the "DOWNLOAD" button to save the BIOS update file to your computer.
  2. Prepare for the Update:
    • Ensure that your computer is connected to a reliable power source to prevent any interruptions during the update process. - lose all running applications and save your work to avoid data loss.
  3. Run the BIOS Update:
    • Locate the downloaded BIOS update file on your computer. - DoubleClick the file to execute it. - Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the BIOS update utility. - the update process may take several minutes. It's crucial not to turn off or restart your computer during this time, as doing so can cause system issues.
  4. Post-Update Steps:
    • Once the update is complete, your computer will automatically restart. - after rebooting, it's advisable to check the BIOS version to confirm that the update was successful. Important Considerations:
  • Do Not Interrupt the Update: interrupting the BIOS update can lead to critical issues, including the system being unable to boot. Ensure the process is not disturbed until completion.
  • Automatic Updates: be aware that active updates might occur during the Windows Update process. It's recommended to manually check for BIOS updates periodically to ensure optimal system performance. or detailed instructions and troubleshooting, refer to the ASUS Support page for the G35DX model. by keeping your BIOS updated, you can enhance system performance and maintain compatibility with new hardware and software.

Hi David!

I updated my BIOS and everything went ok until last step as I needed push F1. I push F1 and after that my screen went black and nothing happened. I wait about 10 mins and then I decided push a power button to re-start the computer. I was a little bit nervous that if computer works anymore but seems to be that everything went as should be. Only my old pin code didn't worked anymore. Very exciting job...

Thank You one more time👍

Regards

Rolf

You are truly welcome, Rolf!
F1 is generally used for "Help", so it doesn't really matter. The main thing is that your update worked well !!

Definitely! It seems to be a critical update.
You've got it here:
https://rog.asus.com/us/desktops/full-tower/rog-strix-ga35-series/helpdesk_bios/

Then, you should also update your drivers if you never did it.
You'll find them here:
https://rog.asus.com/us/desktops/full-tower/rog-strix-ga35-series/helpdesk_bios/
Download them ALL and install them.
After that your computer will THANK YOU !! ☺️

Once every 2 months or so, have a look at these ASUS support pages and download and install each new driver.

Hi again David and thank You very much for Yours helps. As I downloaded the latest Firmware the updater told to me that I already have the latest Firmware.

I stayded to thinking that if the Firmware installed same time as BIOS because during BIOS installation some midway it BIOS intaller asked me to install (I don't member now that what it was) something yes Y / no N. I selected first N because I didn't know that about what is that. After No the same question appeared again and selected this time Y and BIOS installation continued again normally way.

I downloeded those drivers, too and some was already updated - obviosly via Armouru Create.

Well - everything should be done now - thanks to You. Great that there is people like You. Very clear guiding man like me who not speak english very well. Old man and long lines. Everytihng takes a lot more time than younger.

Best regards

Rolf
