Is there a way to display LNM full screen, i.e. without the menu and title bars?

Yes, you can toggle fullscreen from the menu "Window" -> "Fullscreen Map" or by pressing Shift+F11.

However, I am trying to have the map on the display and nothing else, that is without the main menu and without the title bar.

Main menu cannot be hidden to avoid users locking themselves out.

You can right click on the toolbars to hide them or use menu "Window" -> "Toolbars".
